Saskatchewan Leads the Nation in Private Capital Investment
Premier Scott Moe is heading to Toronto to attend the Canada Investment Summit where he will promote investment opportunities in Saskatchewan's energy, critical mineral, defence and agriculture sectors. The event, which takes place on September 14 and 15, brings together prominent investors, CEOs, entrepreneurs and business leaders from around the world. It is aimed at attracting new investment into Canada as a way of growing the national economy.
"The world is uncertain, Saskatchewan is not," Moe said. "It is clear the time to invest in our province is now. There is no place better positioned to help meet the world's demand for food, fuel, fertilizer and critical minerals. By taking our story directly to investors, we are bringing opportunities home, creating jobs and building the strongest provincial economy in Canada."

Alongside the summit, the Government of Saskatchewan will host an Invest in Saskatchewan Forum focused on the province's nuclear sector and uranium development, which includes a fireside chat between Premier Moe, Cameco CEO Tim Gitzel and former Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Provincial officials are also facilitating opportunities for Saskatchewan companies to highlight groundbreaking projects currently underway across key industries.
Saskatchewan's competitive business environment has attracted record investment, with private capital investment in Saskatchewan increasing last year by 12 per cent to $13.6 billion, ranking first in Canada.
There are currently 60 large-scale projects either in planning or underway in the province. This represents over $62 billion in investment from industries around the world who are taking advantage of what Saskatchewan has to offer. These investments further bolster the province's role in ensuring global food and energy security.
